Ming Pao: China Denies Military in Readiness Status Two

Regarding media report that Guangzhou Military Region and South Sea Fleet have entered Readiness Status Two, the official website of China’s Defence Ministry has already denied that.
Its statement says that the report on Guangzhou Military Region and South Sea Fleet entering Readiness Status Two is not true.
On May 9, a post on china.com stated that sources in Guangzhou Military Region revealed that Guangzhou Military Region and South Sea Fleet entered Readiness Status Two on May 8. All personnel’s leaves had been cancelled, transfer of navy’s air force to other sites had begun and navy vessels have been on duty in preparation for war.
The post also states that the readiness of the navy air force, the Second Artillery Corp and the 15th Airborn Corp had all been raised to Readiness Status Three in Guangzhon Military Region’s neighbouring Nanjing Military Region. Regarding media report that Guangzhou Military Region and South Sea Fleet have entered Readiness Status Two, the official website of China’s Defence Ministry has already denied that.
