The following is based on a translation from Chinese media:

China maintains strict confidentiality on its submarine technology.

However, qianzhan.com says in its Labor Day report, that the People’s Daily mentioned in its report about a working model of China’s new hot air engine that has a power ratio of 117%.

This ratio is higher than imported version, which makes China the leader in such power systems.

The website says the new power system will be used in China’s new submarines.

The AIP engine China uses in its Type 039B submarine is the Stirling Engine, imported from Sweden.

China says its new hot air engine has been developed based on that imported engine.
