- 1864 – Austin Chapman, Minister for Defence in the first Deakin Government, is born in Bong Bong, New South Wales.
- 1908 – John Armstrong, Minister in the Chifley Government and Lord Mayor of Sydney, is born in Ultimo, New South Wales.
